Shipping policy
At Ralph Speer, every piece is handled with care from our workshop to its final destination. To support the needs of our trade clients and their projects, we offer two delivery options: delivery to a receiving warehouse or White Glove delivery directly to the client’s residence.
Delivery Options
Receiving Warehouse Delivery
Receiving Warehouse Delivery is available for trade clients who prefer to coordinate receiving, inspection, storage, and final installation through a professional receiver.
With this service:
- The order will be delivered to the receiving warehouse specified at the time of purchase.
- Furniture will remain in its original packaging.
- Unpacking, assembly, placement, installation, and packaging removal are not included.
- The trade client is responsible for confirming that the receiving warehouse can accept the shipment and for arranging any inspection, storage, delivery, installation, or other services required after receipt.
- Any fees charged by the receiving warehouse, including storage, inspection, redelivery, or final-mile delivery fees, are the responsibility of the trade client or their client.
The receiving warehouse must inspect the condition of the shipment upon arrival. Any visible damage to the packaging or shipment should be documented on the carrier’s Proof of Delivery before it is signed. The warehouse should unpack and inspect the furniture promptly after receipt and report any concerns to Ralph Speer as soon as possible, accompanied by clear photographs of the packaging, the affected piece, and any visible damage.
White Glove Delivery
White Glove Delivery is available for delivery directly to the client’s residence. This service includes delivery into the home, placement in the room of choice, unpacking, assembly when required, and removal of packaging materials.
The trade client is responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact information for the receiving client. When the order reaches the local delivery terminal, the carrier will contact the designated recipient to schedule a delivery appointment. Appointment availability is based on the carrier’s route and scheduling capacity.
Preparing for White Glove Delivery
Before delivery, please confirm that each piece will fit safely through all entrances, doorways, hallways, stairways, elevators, and other access points leading to the intended room. The delivery path and room must be cleared before the team arrives.
Delivery teams are not permitted to move or dispose of existing furniture, remove doors or architectural elements, perform electrical or construction work, mount items to walls, or complete services beyond the assembly and placement included with the delivery.
Please notify Ralph Speer in advance of any conditions that may affect delivery, including limited access, gated entry, building requirements, elevator reservations, stairs, narrow passageways, or other site-specific considerations. Additional fees may apply when special handling or services are required.
Scheduling & Delivery Day
Delivery windows may span several hours, and an adult must be available to accept the order throughout the scheduled window. The carrier may provide a narrower delivery window or courtesy call before arrival when available, but timing cannot be guaranteed.
If the recipient is unavailable for a scheduled appointment, refuses delivery without authorization, or cancels or reschedules on short notice, redelivery, storage, or rescheduling fees may apply. These charges are determined by the carrier and are the responsibility of the trade client or their client.
Inspecting Your Order
Every order should be inspected carefully at the time of delivery.
For White Glove Delivery, the recipient should inspect all pieces before the delivery team departs and before signing the Proof of Delivery. Any damage or concern must be written clearly on the Proof of Delivery, and photographs should be taken of the item, packaging, and affected area.
For Receiving Warehouse Delivery, any visible damage to the packaging or shipment must be noted on the Proof of Delivery before signing. The receiver should then unpack and inspect the order promptly and retain all packaging until the inspection is complete.
If a concern is discovered, please contact Ralph Speer as soon as possible with the order number, a description of the issue, a copy of the delivery receipt, and clear photographs. Unless the carrier or Ralph Speer instructs otherwise, please accept the delivery and retain the item and all packaging while our team reviews the concern and determines the appropriate next steps.
Failure to document visible freight damage at the time of delivery may affect our ability to file a claim with the carrier or provide a remedy.
Delivery Addresses & Changes
Please verify all shipping details before submitting an order. Changes to the delivery address or delivery method may affect the cost and timing of delivery.
Once an order is in transit, address changes may result in delays and carrier-imposed reconsignment fees. Any additional charges must be paid before delivery can be completed.
Production & Transit Times
Estimated production timelines are provided on the applicable product page or order confirmation. Once an order is complete and released for shipment, transit and scheduling times will vary based on the destination, carrier capacity, project requirements, and seasonal demand.
All production, transit, and delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Weather, carrier delays, holidays, remote delivery locations, and circumstances outside Ralph Speer’s control may extend the timeline.
Delivery Pricing
Receiving Warehouse Delivery and White Glove Delivery are priced separately. Rates will be based on the selected service, order value or size, and delivery destination.

White Glove Delivery: Pricing forthcoming.
Any additional services or carrier charges—including storage, reconsignment, redelivery, restricted-access, or special-handling fees—are not included in the standard delivery rate unless expressly stated.
